Sounds better
the more
you listen.
All but two
songs co-written
by Donna, one of
the others by
Brenda Russell. |
When I met Donna Summer
(14 April 1995) in Tahoe, she kindly autographed one of my copies of
her classic All Systems Go.
Although tired after an exciting, energetic performance, she couldn't
have been more gracious to her fans. |

|
"Only the Fool Survives" off All Systems Go,
a delightful duet in Donna's repertoire.

|
| What a thrill (for me, gt). |
| The singer-composer merits an exclusive major site but, given the eclectic
nature of GT House, I am devoting this area and links
to Donna. |

|
| Donna Summer is a legitimate star, an icon. Unlike
some celebrities, it is not hype. Just talent, energy and heart. Whether
she's portraying Urkel's Aunt Oona from Altoona or singing for a live audience,
you can tell that she's for real. |
|
Because of my devotion to Donna, I've
redone the graphics.
Thanks Mr C. |

| One of the best songs from the session, "Sometimes Like
Butterflies," never even made it on an album. |

|
| When the pinheads at Geffin refused
to release the two-record Rainbow album,
she was paired with Quincy Jones for her self-titled album. Listen
to Donna rise above the over-production, especially on Bruce Springsteen's
"Protection." |
